Carlton Contracting and Electric Corp was incorporated in 1988, and has been providing professional electrical contracting services ever since. We are licensed and insured and are located in Rockland County NY. We have a highly trained and experienced crew of electricians and technicians and maintain a large fleet of service vehicles, to serve the needs of our customers. We serve Orange, Rockland, Westchester and Sullivan Counties in New York and and the Northern counties in New Jersey. We provide Commercial and Residential services. We do new construction work as well as renovations an rehab. We specialize in retrofitting existing lighting with new “Green” high  efficiency fixtures and systems, that will reduce your lighting costs considerably.

Our Standby Power Systems division, specializes in Standby / Emergency  generator systems. We design and install backup generator systems that meet your residential or commercial requirements. We have successfully installed nearly four hundred systems in our service area. Our experience gives us the expertise necessary to design your system with a generator that has the correct generation capacity and that has the appropriate control systems for your individual needs.

We are a factory authorized, residential and commercial, sales and service dealer for Briggs & Stratton. We have a fully equipped service department that provides repair and maintenance services, to assure you that your standby system will be operational when it is needed.
